Security Overview
Security plays an essential role in all aspects of the design of ScioSphere and we take the data of our customers very seriously.
From the user's computer to the ScioSphere servers, everything transferred is encrypted using the best practice encryption systems. In fact, ScioSphere uses the same encryption system as used by online banking systems.
Furthermore, a similar encryption system is used between the ScioSphere servers. This means that whenever data or documents are moved from one server to a another or from a ScioSphere server to the users browser, that data is strongly encrypted protecting it from outside attack.
User Data Is Secure
Within the internal ScioSphere system, all the data related to a given analysis is stored in its own separate database. This means that there is no potential of "spill over" or access of any kind from one analysis to another. Everything is completely separated with water proof seals. Only those users with access to a given analysis can access the database containing that particular analysis.
As each analysis is kept in its own encrypted box, separate users within the same organization cannot even access one another's analyses unless specifically allowed.
Access To Data
All data related to an analysis in ScioSphere is kept in a separate database. It is fully recognized that this data is owned by the user.
This means that ScioSphere holds no claims and will never share anything about any user's data.
The reports and annotations can be extracted from ScioSphere continuously and all the user data in the entire database can be exported from ScioSphere into other programs like spreadsheets or word-processing programs.
